R4i SDHC 3DS Error Message “Load Errcode=-83″

R4i DSi XL Load Error “Load Errcode=-83″

 

Some users have encountered the following error "Load Errcode=-83" when using their R4i SDHC 3DS on their DSi XL. 

 

According to the manufacturer, the "Load Errcode=-83" error may be due to either:

  • the microSD used is too fragmented, causing some data reading error; or 
  • the driver used is not the latest. 

 

The solution is quite straightforward:

  • please re-install the card with the latest driver and a complete format. Setup guide is available here.
